Various Terms Break Down (Hang on I need to set a pronunciation guide for something spelled in Common?)

You may have noticed that we use various classification systems when classifying articles. This Codex Entry is meant to help understand what they all mean. Any terms that don't warrant their own Codex Entry but do warrant explanation will be explained here.

Danger/Risk/Power Level Classification

Danger/Risk/Power levels are organized using the Greek Alphabet system. Alpha Level risk couldn't even harm a newborn infant. Omega level risk would even be dangerous to the ancients. One thing to note, just because someone or something is high risk doesn't inherently make it bad or evil. Risk Level is based on how dangerous it would be if it were hostile to you. The complete list of risk levels is below, with a short description of each level.

Alpha Class

Entities within Power Classification Alpha have almost no Military Training or fighting experience and are almost never magical. Natives in this class are your typical everyday individuals, probably wasting every second of their waking hours either attending a typical High school or going to and from their day job with as little enthusiasm as possible. 98% of all Alpha Classes are unaware that anything exists outside their resident level of existence and are entirely clueless when it comes to the presence of other Realms. RB in this class could be ordinary children or any random civilian that ends up here via the rift. ALPHA classes have a total Power Sum of less than 40 points and thus are generally weak and are seldom ever a threat to anyone with even a slight amount of Combat or magical experience. As such, the MDA requests that all RB leave natives in this classification be and under no circumstances should any spells be cast in their presence as their minds likely can't handle trying to comprehend the Anomalous Knowledge they would gain. Levels of existence under this classification you could send a toddler to, and they would never be able to find a way to hurt themselves, given there is zero danger there at all.

Beta Class

Entities within Power Classification BETA have very basic magical or combat knowledge. Your typical native Police officers and Civil protection Robots all fit this classification. RB in this class would be anything from an ordinary police officer to a self-taught student mage. 95% of all Native BETA Classes have almost no clue of life outside their resident level of existence and are even more clueless about the existence of other realms. As such, the MDA requests that all RB leave native entities in this class to their day jobs and try their hardest not to make their jobs harder. The MDA requests that all RB refrain from excessive use of Magic while in the presence of BETA classes to not inadvertently cause them to go into an AK Coma. Very few people under BETA class understand the nature of magic, so the AK they would gain has a high likelihood of putting them into an AK coma, though not as likely as it would be to present this knowledge to an ALPHA class. Entities under the BETA class have a minimum total Power Sum of 40 and a maximum of 60 and thus are relatively weak for those in classification Gamma or above. Levels of existence under Beta could be considered playgrounds for children with almost no danger whatsoever.

Gamma Class

Entities within Power Classification GAMMA have a basic level of formal military or magical training. Your typical infantry soldier and Combat Robots are two native entities you would find in this classification. RB in this classification could be anything from an ordinary Infantry soldier to a Junior in magic school. Natives in Power Classification GAMMA have very minimal knowledge of what exists outside their homeworld and very little understanding of the existence of other realms, just enough knowledge to get the job done. When questioning their task, a typical phrase you will hear from a Native Gamma class is, "Not our job to ask why Higher up the food chain." The MDA requests that RB refrain from engaging Gamma classes if possible and limit magic usage to a bare minimum when in the vicinity of GAMMA classes. Excessive Magic/Aspect usage with a power level above 4x the norm would be considered anomalous and has a chance of causing Gamma classes to enter an AK coma. People under the GAMMA class have a minimum total Power Sum of 60 and a maximum of 80 and thus are relatively weak for those in classification Delta or above. Levels of existence under Gamma have as much danger as your typical earth middle school and are relatively harmless.

Delta Class

Entities within Power Classification DELTA are usually well-trained operatives and are incredibly resourceful and hard to kill. Most native well-trained operatives and native military personnel fit this class. Unascended new RB all fall under the bottom portion of this classification. Natives in Classification DELTA are generally well-read up and have some context on the true nature of things. They usually are the ones giving orders and information to Gamma classes and below. But where do they get their info? Delta classes are challenging to overwhelm and cause them to enter an AK Coma. The MDA suggests that all new RB refrain from engaging DELTA class personnel unless they know what they're doing. Entities under the DELTA class have a minimum total Power Sum of 80 and a maximum of 100 and thus are relatively weak for those in classification Epsilon or above. Levels of existence under DELTA are about as dangerous as your typical military Bootcamp.

Epsilon Class

Entities within Power Classification Epsilon are Almost always either cybernetically enhanced or highly trained RB. Most native Cybernetically enhanced fighters or durable mages would fit at this level. Unascended Fully trained RB fit the midpoint level of this classification. Natives in Classification Epsilon are almost always well-read up and have plenty of context on the true nature of things. They usually are the ones giving orders and information to Delta classes and below. But where do they get their info? Epsilon classes are nearly impossible to overwhelm and cause them to enter an AK Coma. The MDA suggests that all unascended RB refrain from engaging EPSILON class entities unless they really know what they're doing. Entities under the EPSILON class have a minimum total Power Sum of 100 and a maximum of 500 and thus could be a relatively significant threat to any unascended RB. Levels of existence under Epsilon are about as dangerous as a mild earth warzone.

Zeta Class

Entities within Power Classification Zeta are incredibly resilient and dangerous and usually have extensive military training. Most natives in this classification are incredibly resilient and resourceful, making them formidable opponents to face. RB that have ascended at least twice and trained up to the maximum they can for that ascension make the midpoint of this classification. The MDA suggests that all unascended RB refrain from engaging ZETA class entities unless they really know what they're doing. People under the ZETA class have a minimum total Power Sum of 500 and a maximum of 1K, and thus could be a substantial threat to any unascended RB. Levels of existence under ZETA are about as dangerous as a mild earth warzone.

Eta Class

Entities within Power Classification Eta are almost always magical in nature. They are capable of doing a considerable amount of damage to the world near them and almost always have an enormous wealth of esoteric and Anomalous Knowledge. RB that have ascended at least three times and trained up to the maximum they can for that ascension make the bottom half of this classification. Natives from this classification are The MDA advise all RB that have not at least ascended three times to avoid engagement with Eta class entities if at all possible. Entities under the Eta class have a minimum Total Power Sum of 1K and a maximum of 5K. Levels of existence under ETA are as dangerous as the afghan warzone from back in the origin era.

Theta Class

Entities within Power Classification Theta are near guaranteed to have magical capability. They are capable of doing significant damage to whole galaxies and always have a wealth of knowledge and tools at their disposal. RB that have ascended at least seven times and trained up to the maximum they can for that ascension make the bottom half of this classification. The MDA advises all RB that have not ascended at least seven times to avoid conflict with Theta classes if at all humanly possible. Entities under the Theta class have a minimum power sum of 5k and a maximum of 10K. Levels of existence under Theta are as dangerous as the Vietnam warzone back in the days of origin.

Iota Class

Entities under Power Classification Iota have transcended the physical form entirely and now exist primarily as pure energy. They have reached the apex of their ascension and have become the form that best matches who they were before ascending. Depending on the apex the entity becomes, Iota class entities can hold power to create and destroy at an impressive scale, even able to destroy or create whole universes depending on their choices. RB that have ascended at least 11 times and trained up to the maximum they can for that ascension make up the bottom half of this classification. The MDA advises all RB to avoid any iota classes that could theoretically be hostile. Entities under Iota have a minimum Power Sum that starts at 10K and caps out at 15K. Levels of existence under Iota are around as dangerous as a fallout world.

Kappa Class

Entities under Power Classification Kappa have already transcended the physical form and primarily exist as pure energy beings, thus granting them a low-level form of immortality. Apexes such as those in class Kappa can create a physical vessel for them to use to manifest on the physical plane if they so choose. This is the case with all entities in Iota and above. Kappa classes have a minimum power sum of 15K and a maximum of 20K. Levels of existence under Kappa could be irradiated landscapes hostile to what we conventionally consider life.

Lamda Class

Entities under Lamda function similarly to those under Iota and Kappa; Lamda classes have a minimum power sum of 20K and a maximum of 25K. Levels of existence under Lamda are relatively hostile to those unprepared to go there.

Mu Class

Entities under Mu function similarly to those under classes iota and above; Mu classes have a minimum power sim of 25K and a maximum of 30K. Levels of existence under Mu are known to be pretty hostile to those unprepared to go there.

Nu Class

Entities under Nu function similarly to those under classes iota and above; Mu classes have a minimum power sim of 30K and a maximum of 35K. Levels of existence under Mu are known to be hostile to those unprepared to go there.

Xi Class

Entities under Xi function similarly to those under classes iota and above; Mu classes have a minimum power sim of 35K and a maximum of 40K. Levels of existence under Mu are known to be hostile to those unprepared to go there.

Omicron Level

The lowest tier of entities that could be considered "Gods" start at level Omicron. Dubbed TCs, they are the least powerful being that could still be considered a God of sorts. Omicron classes have a minimum power sum of 40k and a maximum of 50k. Levels of existence under Omicron are pretty hostile to those unprepared to face its dangers.

Pi Class

Entities under Pi have similar capabilities to those in level Omicron, with more control over them. Pi classes have a minimum power sum of 50K and a maximum of 100K. Levels of existence under Pi are heavily hostile to those unprepared to face its dangers.

Rho Class

Entities under Rho have far more control over the powers they wield and are much more versed like things. Rho classes have a minimum power sum of 100K and a maximum of 500K. Levels of existence under Rho are incredibly hostile to those unprepared to face its dangers.

Sigma Class

The least powerful of the ancient guardians qualify sigma classes. Sigmas are very *very* powerful and can create and destroy on a nearly unprecedented scale. Sigma classes start at 500K power sum and cap out at 1M power sum. Levels of existence under sigma are immensely hostile to entities that visit them and could easily result in the deaths of those who go there.

Tau Class

The oldest and most powerful of the ancient guardians falls under the Tau class. Tau classes can create and destroy on an immense scale, even making their own dimensions or reshaping reality around them. Tau classes start at 1M power sum and cap out at 50M power sum. Levels of existence under Tau are almost death sentences to go to.

Upsillon Class

Upsilon classes are just below the Ancients in power. An excellent example of two Upsilon classes would be the Phoenix Sisters. They are capable of doing an unprecedented amount of damage to any target. Upsilon classes start at 50M and cap out at 500M power sum. Levels of existence under Upsilon, I would advise not even going near.

Phi Class

The Ancients themselves qualify as Phi class. They were responsible for creating the metaverse at large and hold the powers to match that, being able to practically think people out of existence. Phi classes start at 500M and cap out at 2B power sum. Levels of existence under Phi will be a death sentence to anyone below upsilon in power.

Chi Class

Entities under the Chi class can even overpower the ancients themselves. The enigmatic formless entity known only as "The Voice" is an example of a Chi class. Chi classes start at 2B and cap out at 15B in power sum. Levels of existence under Chi would be a slight danger even to the ancients themselves.

Psi Class

Entities under PSI are nearly the strongest entities in existence and can go toe to toe with every other card in the deck. The vessel, Dianna, in her bound form, is a prime example of a PSI class. PSI classes start at 15B and cap out at 15T in power sum. Levels of existence under PSI would be an immense danger even to the ancients themselves.

Omega Class

Entities under Omega have reached the highest power class on the board and are stronger than even the vessel herself. No entity thus far has reached omega class, making it the closest thing to the end goal of all ascended entities. Omega classes have at least 15T in power sum, making them by far the most powerful entities in existence. Levels of existence under Omega would be so hostile that they couldn't even really be called existence as they would erode the very concept of existence within them.

Levels of existence

Within the metaverse, there are 13 different classifications or levels of existence; they are summed up below.

Landmass level

A level 1 plane would be the equivalent of a country or continent on a planet. If you are traveling cross country, you are traveling on the 1st level of existence.

Planetary level

Level 2 planes are planets; if you cross different landmasses on the same world, you are traveling on the second level of existence.

Solar System Level

The 3rd level of existence is the solar system; if you are traveling from planet to planet in the same solar system, you are traveling on the 3rd level of existence. Sense a pattern here yet?

Galaxy Level

The 4th level is the galaxy level; if you are traveling from different solar systems in the same galaxy, you are traveling on the galaxy level.

Universe level

The 5th level is the universe level; if you are traveling from galaxy to galaxy in the same universe, you are traveling on the universe level.

Multiverse level

The 6th level is the Multiverse level; if you are traveling between universes in the same multiverse, you are traveling on the multiverse level.

Multiverse Set level

The 7th level is the Multiverse Set level; if you are traveling between multiverses in the same set, you are traveling on the 7th level. And yes, there are things more extensive than a multiverse in the metaverse.

Subrealm

The 8th level is the Subrealm level. If you are traveling between different multiverse sets or omniverses within a subrealm, you are traveling on this level. And yes, there are different omniverses within certain realms. Head hurting yet? Don't worry; we only have five more levels to go through.

Subrealm set

The 9th level is the Subrealm set Level. If you are traveling between different subrealms in the same set, you are traveling on this level. And yes, there are subrealm sets; a good example would be traveling from T'Drassiel to Feint/Lurensia, which are both in the 2058 Subrealm set.

Realm

The 10th level is the Realm level; if you are traveling anywhere above the subrealm set level but within the same realm, you are traveling in this level.

Realm System Level

The 11th level is the realm system level. If you are traveling between two realms in the same realm system, you are traveling on this level.

Metaverse Level

The 12th level of existence is the metaverse level. When traveling between different realm systems, you are traveling on this level.
And those are all 13 levels of existence that exist here. What? I only mentioned 12? Not sure what you are talking about. I definitely listed all 13.

Codex Entry IDs

Most if not all entries in the eternal codex have an entry id for quick and easy lookup. The Entry IDs all follow this format:

Artificial Relic ID Entry Format

Origin L13 Existence-Origin Realm-Origin Project ID-Project Iteration-iteration Variant If the Realm of Origin is unknown or not any realm that is currently registered. the realm ID will be 0000 A great example of an Artificial Relic Entry ID is MV-0000-9966-0-A, or in layman's terms The Amulet of Dreams. The ID is broken down in the tooltips if you are curious how that specific id breaks down.

Realm ID Entry Format

Origin L13 Existence-Realm ID A great example of a Realm ID would be MV-2058 which translates to Realm ID 2058 or Teldrassil. For more info on how Realm IDs are calculated see the Realm ID format section after this one.

About Subrealms

Subrealms follow a subset of the Realm ID Entry format. Origin L13 existence-Realm ID-Subream ID As an example: MV-2058-A would be the first Subrealm in Teldrassil; T'Drassiel, the World Tree of Life.

Items Of Anomolous Origin(IOAO)

Items Of anomalous Origin, or IOAO for short, follow a different ID format than other relics. IOAO-0000-Relic ID The Originating Realm ID format is always 0000 since it is unclear where the relic came from at all. The originating L13 section is also always IOAO since it's unclear if they came from here or where they came from, to begin with. A fantastic example of an IOAO is The Authors Pen, which has this id: IOAO-0000-717.

Entity Entry ID Format

Entities within the metaverse all gain their own IDs the moment they interact with any equipment connected to the main big Organizations within here. They follow two different formats depending on whether they were born naturally or artificially formed by one of the projects done by any big organization.

Natural Born Entites

Natural Born entites follow this format: Origin L13 existence-Origin Realm-Origin Subrealm-Entity ID

Unnatural Entities

Entities that do not originate from natural causes follow this format instead: Origin L13 existence-Origin Realm-Origin Subrealm-ProjectID-Entity ID
About RB
As RiftBorn as of current have no known origin location they follow a different and simplifed ID format for their characters. RB-Entity ID If their origin location ends up being discovered, their ID gets updated to follow the format that matches their nature, most often the naturalborn format.

Realm ID Formatting

Every realm in the metaverse is given a designated Realm ID, which corresponds to its distance away from the Main Hub in the Shadow Zone. The IDs can be translated into xyz coordinates in this fashion: XZ-Y. So Realm ID 2057 is 20 Celestial Miles in the X direction and 57 Celestial Miles in the Z direction away from the Main Hub.

Celestial distances and you

Because of the vast expansive distances that the metaverse is made up of, we use a special measurement system for measuring distances between different realms. The breakdown is listed below:
Celestial Mile = 30 Gigaparsecs
100 Celestial Miles = 3 Teraparsecs
300 Celestial Miles = 1 Petaparsecs
300000 Celestial Miles = 1 Exaparsec
3,000,000 Celestial Miles = 1 Zettaparsec
30,000,000 Celestial Miles = 1 Yottaparsec
3,000,000,000 Celestial Miles = 1 CTM (Celestial Territorial Mile)
10 CTM = The overall diameter of the metaverse
